Biography

Miss Monika Kaushik is a Consultant Oncoplastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Breast Surgeon specialising in the diagnosis and treatment of both benign and malignant breast conditions. She works with patients who need expert breast care, combining cancer surgery with advanced reconstructive and cosmetic techniques to achieve the best possible outcomes for both health and appearance.

Miss Kaushik completed her specialist surgical training in the East Midlands Deanery, with breast oncoplastic surgery as her subspecialty focus, before undertaking a fellowship in oncoplastic breast surgery at Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge. She was appointed Consultant at University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust in 2013, where she continues to practise alongside her private work.

Her clinical expertise covers a wide range of breast surgery, including oncoplastic and reconstructive procedures, risk-reducing surgery, revision surgery, breast augmentation, breast reduction, and nipple and areolar surgery. She also manages benign breast conditions such as breast pain, breast lumps and nipple discharge, providing a thorough and personalised approach to each patient.

Miss Kaushik holds several leadership roles within her NHS Trust, serving as Breast Surgery Research Lead and Educational Lead for her Management Group. She is committed to service improvement and enhancing the patient experience, and she believes in supporting women through every stage of their care with clarity, kindness and confidence.

She is certified and registered by the Royal College of Surgeons to practise breast cosmetic surgery and is a member of the Medical Breast Network.
