Biography
Dr Shayan Ahmed is a Consultant Radiologist specialising in musculoskeletal and urological imaging. He works with patients who need expert diagnostic assessment across a wide range of conditions affecting bones, joints, soft tissues and the urinary tract, combining advanced imaging techniques with a thorough and patient-focused approach.
Based at Barts Health NHS Trust, Dr Ahmed routinely performs a broad range of general and musculoskeletal diagnostic ultrasound alongside his specialist imaging practice. His expertise spans multiple imaging modalities and he is experienced in both complex diagnostic reporting and clinical correlation.
Dr Ahmed graduated from King’s College London with distinction before completing his core radiology specialist training across the East Anglia region, encompassing hospitals in Cambridge, Essex and Bedfordshire. He went on to undertake higher subspecialty training in musculoskeletal and trauma imaging at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, followed by a fellowship in musculoskeletal and trauma imaging at King’s College Hospital.
Dr Ahmed is an active educator and regularly teaches on musculoskeletal radiology courses. He has presented his work at international conferences and is involved in organising national radiology educational events.
